TFS DOWNHILL Training

Downhill nowadays requires above-average physical abilities. Downhill is a mix of specific strength, endurance, fitness, concentration and technical skills. We designed our program to combine all these elements and prepare you for the most difficult trails. The training will help you eliminate muscle pain and shortness of breath, while allowing you to focus on riding and your technical skills.

For whom?

For anyone who wants to improve their fitness and riding skills. Regardless of whether you are an advanced cyclist or just starting out. The workouts are scaled, so you can easily adjust the level to your abilities. In addition, we use alternative versions of exercises taking into account gender and equipment capabilities, so you can adjust the plan to suit you.

We also know how important your time is, which is why we have designed the workouts so that you can get the most benefits in the shortest time possible.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Home and Gym version

The plan includes two versions of strength training – Gym and Home with minimal equipment. TFS Downhill includes 2 priority strength trainings and a third additional one..

Conditioning

The plan includes 2 endurance bike workouts per week. If you can’t get out on your bike, we have prepared substitutes (stationary bike, trainer, running or rower)

Flexibility

The plan assumes a minimum of 2 workouts per week and a maximum of 6 workouts per week. Depending on your level of advancement and available time, you choose how many you do.

Results

PERIODIZATION 365

The trainings are programmed in accordance with the periodization of the annual training plan. This means that they last the whole year. Thanks to this, regardless of when you join the program, you will receive trainings appropriate to the period of the season. We have also prepared regressions and alternative exercises in each training. Thanks to this solution, regardless of your level and the period of the season, you will use the trainings 100%.

FAQ

Will the training be too difficult for me?

Each workout offers the option of scaling the exercise level. If you find that you are unable to perform a movement, you can use an alternative exercise. This means that you can be sure that you will benefit from our workouts regardless of your level of advancement.

Additionally, as part of each training program, you also receive the TFS Intro plan, which is designed for beginners. Thanks to it, you will learn how to perform exercises correctly, go through basic progression and prepare for the main program.

What do I need for training?

As part of the training program, you receive 2 versions of strength training: Gym and Home. It’s up to you which plan you will do. You can stick to one of them or mix them up during the week. In the gym, we use basic equipment such as a barbell, dumbbells, kettlebells, a bar, a box, gymnastic rings or TRX. However, for the “Home” version of training, you don’t need any equipment. You can do most of the exercises with just your own body weight, but additional accessories such as resistance bands, dumbbells or a bar are welcome 😉

We design endurance training with a bike or trainer in mind. An alternative option is running, an Airbike or a rowing ergometer.

Which training program should I choose?

Start by asking yourself what discipline is your priority and what goal you want to achive, then choose the right one. If you do Enduro and DH choose TFS Enduro. If want to move better, get stronger and improve your physique choose TFS Hybrid Athlete. However, if you have non-standard needs and would like more attention from a coach, then choose an individual program.

How can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into “My Account“. On this page you will see the currently purchased programs and you can fully manage them, simply and conveniently. If you decide that for some reason Train For Skills is not for you, you can cancel your subscription on the same day in a few seconds.
